Topic：Make your composition better

I. Teaching objectives:

a) Knowledge objectives:

To learn how to make the composition better.

(Choose a meaningful and specific material, correct grammar and spelling mistakes, and use conjunctions to make the composition more fluently)

b) Ability objectives:

To learn how to decide the material, and how to use conjunctions

c) Emotional objectives:

To let the students find out the fun in working in groups, and willing to be a helper to his classmates.

To learn how to use conjunctions properly and correctly.

Warming-up	Brain storm 1) Complete the topic The moment I was praised by _______ 2) What were you praised for?	Talk freely about the person who praised them, and the reason for praising.	To choose the material that is going to be written in the composition.
Pre-task	Show some wrong sentences written by students.	1) Work in groups, and find out the mistakes together. 2) Correct the mistakes.	To let the students know the importance of writing a composition without making grammar and spelling mistakes.
	Show a composition with some mistakes
	Score the composition that was made better just now.	Discuss in pairs, and decide the score of the composition.	To find out other important points of writing a good composition.
While-task	Show a composition. Ask students to find out conjunctions in it.	Underline the conjunctions	To know the importance of using correct and proper conjunctions in the composition.
While-task	Connect the sentences	Use conjunctions to connect the sentences.
Post-task	Make a composition better 《The moment I was praised by_______》	Work in groups, discuss and make the composition better.	Make clear the steps of making a composition better.
Assignment	Make your compositions better 《My views on raising pets》	Follow the steps, and make their composition better.	Practice and grasp the skills of making a composition better.
